About Me

Well, what is there to say about me. I am a young professional who is always interested in learning new things and making new experiences.
I was born in Rastatt, South-West Germany where I grew up. After graduating from high-school, I studied Business Administration at the University of Cooperative Education in Karlsruhe, Germany. Since then, I have been working for Siemens in Germany, USA and Thailand.
By now, I am 30 years old (Already? How did that happen so fast? And I still feel like I am accompanied by the mind of a 20 year old!) but still enjoying various Hobbies including music, sports, digital photography, playing computer games, fishing etc.
I consider myself an open-minded, easy-going, ambitious, sometimes lazy, funny, outgoing, down-to-earth person.
Like:
- Meeting interesting people who actually have something to tell and can claim to have their own opinion about things
- Listening to good live music or - even better - play some music myself
- Travelling to nice locations away from the mainstream tourism to relax and forget about work
- Trying new cuisines and cooking new recipes myself
- Working with interesting and capable people on challenging topics
- Getting up late on weekends
- Doing sports, even though I might be a bit over-ambitious sometimes
- Reading a good book, preferrably fantasy, thrillers or novels about ancient or medieval times
- Going fishing at natural places using equipment that gives the fish a chance and requires skills on my end in order to succeed
- Going running at the park
- Spending time chatting away with friends
- Returning home to family and friends in Germany and being amazed at how much and how little has changed since my previous visit
- Watching a good movie or nice series such as Family Guy, Prison Break
- Coffee
- Dreaming about starting my own business
Don't like:
- American policy
- Arrogant people and wanna-be's offering superficial conversation
- Undurable heat
- The fact that I have still not been able to quit smoking
- Traffic in Bangkok
- Losing
- Not being able to change the main image on my homepage (see above)
- Having nothing to do at work - ok, that has not really happened for years
- Vacuuming (far worse than ironing, if you ask me)
- sweets
- wearing a neck-tie
My plans for the future include many things I still would like to do such as visiting Angkor Wat, doing some big-game fishing, getting a diving license, getting a motorcycle license, doing a bungee jump, playing guitar in a band again etc.
Please feel free to leave a an entry in my guestbook or to drop me a line.
